The Nice Carnival is committed to a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach to reconcile festivities and sustainable development. Through our CSR charter, we implement concrete actions to reduce our environmental impact, promote social inclusion, and support the local economy.

Support for People with Disabilities
To make our events accessible to everyone, we have implemented several initiatives specifically designed for people with reduced mobility and their companions. These measures reflect our commitment to promoting an inclusive, comfortable, and respectful experience that meets everyone’s needs.
Parking near the carnival will be reserved for people with disabilities to ensure easy and suitable access.
Reduced rates are offered for people with disabilities to facilitate their participation and ensure an optimal experience through PMR platforms. The number of reserved spaces has been increased on the Promenade des Anglais, providing suitable accommodation for a wider audience. Additionally, people with disabilities can enjoy free access to the promenade areas.
Dedicated entrances and reception areas have been specially arranged at each entrance for people with disabilities to facilitate their movements.

Inclusive Operation: February 25 and 26, 2025
For 2 years, the City of Nice is implementing an audiodescription system during two parades, to enhance the inclusivity of the Carnival.
The audiodescription, provided by ISCOM students, will allow visually impaired spectators to receive precise and targeted information about the visual content of the parades while enjoying the overall sound atmosphere.
Seated at the foot of the stands, visually impaired spectators will be able to enjoy the show with a wireless headset, through which they can hear the students’ commentary from a dedicated booth.
This initiative is carried out with the support of La Mut’ and in collaboration with the City’s Disability Mission and ISCOM.
The City of Nice is providing Carnival tickets to associations supporting vulnerable individuals
This solidarity initiative is aimed at associations assisting families, women who are victims of violence, people in precarious situations, and youth from priority neighborhoods.
Offering a moment of respite and joy in a festive and caring environment is a way to affirm our shared values of respect, mutual support, and inclusion.
Electric Floats and Cleaning Boat
A boat is deployed to clean up debris and residue following the symbolic burning of the King at 6 PM. This action ensures effective cleaning while protecting local aquatic flora and fauna.
The floats created and used by Carnival participants during the iconic Flower Parade no longer run on petrol but are now electric. This choice significantly reduces our CO₂ emissions while ensuring eco-friendly parades.
Confetti and Streamers
As part of our CSR initiative, we have implemented several measures to reduce our environmental impact while preserving the festive spirit of our events.
To add color to our celebrations without polluting, biodegradable confetti, streamers, and confetti cannons are used. These help maintain the cleanliness of public spaces while minimizing their ecological footprint.
Volunteers
Recruiting and coordinating volunteers is essential to ensure successful events that reflect our values of inclusion. These dedicated teams enhance community spirit, optimize logistics, and convey a positive image of our mission.
Each volunteer brings their skills and energy, contributing to a welcoming and professional experience for all participants. This mobilization also helps to build strong human connections and a supportive network. Together, we bring to life ambitious projects that are meaningful and rooted in values of respect and diversity.
Nice Carnival Code of Conduct
The Nice Carnival affirms its commitment against sexist and sexual violence, inequalities, and discrimination. All participants, including the carnival team, carnival-goers, artistic troupes, and technical teams, commit to respecting the Nice Carnival’s code of conduct.
Prevention for the Nice Carnival
For several years, the City of Nice has collaborated with the French Mutuality Association to carry out prevention initiatives during its major events, such as the Nice Jazz Fest! and the Nice Carnival.
A prevention stand is set up, and volunteers are available to listen to the public throughout the evening. Ethylotests and earplugs are distributed.
Prevention for Queernaval and the FACE06 Student Evening
The City of Nice is committed to prevention and awareness-raising efforts against drug-related risks and risky sexual behaviors during Queernaval and the FACE06 student evening. We are dedicated to promoting a festive, inclusive, and responsible environment where every participant can celebrate safely. Through concrete actions, information distribution, and dialogue, our goal is to protect the health and well-being of all, while encouraging respectful behavior. Together, let’s make the Carnival an event where celebration goes hand in hand with responsibility.
Minimizing Environmental Impact
As part of its CSR policy, the City of Nice is committed to reducing the production of goodies to minimize environmental impact and promote more sustainable practices.
The official carnival shop adopts a responsible and sustainable approach by offering products of French and European origin, marked with the official carnival logo. This strategic choice not only promotes quality items but also allows them to be kept and resold in subsequent editions. This reflects a commitment to environmental respect while supporting local and European craftsmanship.
