Putting the Carnival’s legacy in the spotlight
For the Carnival’s 150th anniversary, we hope to capitalise on the very DNA of Carnival, becoming a part of its legacy.
Above all, Carnival is : floats and big heads, all with a hint of mischief. A great, joyful masquerade for the people.
As such, at the heart of the poster we can see :

With its exaggerated and ludicrous features, in an illustrated style evoking ancient papermaking techniques.
Deliberately tight framing to convey the feeling of excess and place this great smile – embodying pleasure and celebration – at the centre of the poster.
A wide-open mouth
The smile of the Carnival King: a wide-open mouth, both colourful and celebratory, in which we present this year’s theme: “the Treasures of the World”.
Through this, we reveal the wealth of world heritage, symbolised here by iconic monuments.
A poster that hints at the show to come, whose floats and big heads will once again serve as the very best ambassadors this year.
